Reset user passwords

To improve security, reset user passwords and require them to change the password on next login. This ensures that only the user knows their credentials.

Prerequisites​

You need administrative access to CubeCMP.

Reset a user's password​

  1. Go to https://<your-portal-ip>/auth and sign in with administrative privileges.

  2. View all existing local users.

    Go to Manage > Users and click View all users to display local authentication users.

  3. Select the user whose password you want to reset.

  4. Go to the Credentials tab.

  5. Enter a temporary password for the user.

  6. To require a password change on next login, turn on the Temporary toggle.

  7. Click Reset Password.

  8. Confirm password reset.

    In the confirmation dialog, click Reset Password.

  9. Confirm password reset.

    Check the success message: Success! The password has been reset.

  10. Send the temporary password to the user.

  11. The user must change their password on next login.
