Create a CubeCOS snapshot

Use this procedure to create a system snapshot for backing up configurations or capturing the current state of the CubeCOS platform.

Snapshots are used for node recovery, troubleshooting, or audit purposes.

Connect to the CubeCOS node

$ ssh admin@<your-cluster-vip>
Welcome to the Cube Appliance
Enter "help" for a list of available commands

Create a snapshot

After logging in, use the snapshot create command to begin snapshot creation.

cc1> snapshot
cc1:snapshot> create
CUBE_2.0.0_20201207-162436.926190_cc1.snapshot
cc1:snapshot>

Verify snapshot creation

The snapshot is saved to the /var/support directory.

ls -l /var/support/
