Volume Snapshots

Use this procedure to create a snapshot of an existing volume. Snapshots capture the current state of a volume for fast rollback, testing, or short-term recovery.

Pre-task:

Install the package qemu-guest-agent on your instance before using the volume snapshot feature.

  1. Navigate to Project > Storage > Volumes, select the desired volume, than hover to More.

  2. Hover to Data Protection at the drop down menu, than click Create Snapshot from drop down expended.

  3. Name the snapshot and click OK to proceed.

  4. Verify snapshot creation by navigating to Project > Storage > Volume Snapshots.
